CHIANG RAI – CHIANG MAI

DAYS / 3 NIGHTS

DAY 1  Arrival  –  Chiang Rai – Golden Triangle

 

Arrived in Chiang Rai, you will be picked up by the driver and driven to the villages of the mountain ethnic groups such as the “Akha”, from Tibet and known for their colorful costumes, and the “Yao”, from China and very influenced by their traditions. Lunch on the road, then we continue to the famous “Golden Triangle” of the Mekong River, the eighth longest river in the world, with views of Thailand, Laos and Burma and its famous Opium Museum. Return to Chiang Rai, transfer to the hotel and accommodation.

DAY 2   Chiang Rai – Doi Suthep – Chiang Mai

 

Breakfast at Hotel. Our guide and driver will pick you for the visit, sailing the Maekok River in a traditional Thai boat until arriving at the village of the “Gayan” or “Karen” ethnic groups. Then you will leave to Chiang Mai, making a stop at the popular White Temple (Wat Rong Kun in Thai) with its also famous bridge. The villagers think that Buddha crossed this bridge to preach the dogma for the first time. The white color of the temple represents purity and Buddhist wisdom.
We will have lunch on the way. Then in the afternoon we will visit the Wat Phra Doi Suthep, a temple located in the mountain from where you can enjoy beautiful views of Chiang Mai. Accommodation.

DAY 3   Chiang Mai – Elephant Camp

 

Breakfast at Hotel. Transfer to the elephant camp, located in the forest where we will see a demonstration of strength and skill of these animals.
You can touch, feed, photograph, and interact with the elephants at your leisure while you learn about their lifestyle and behaviors. After the visit, we will make an exciting descent by the river in bamboo rafts and a cart ride pulled by oxen to enjoy the surroundings.
Lunch and visit orchid plantations where we can enjoy the beauty of this beautiful floral species.
Then we will visit the famous craft street, where most traditional decorative objects from the north are made, such as hand painted umbrellas, jewelery, precious stones, as well as wood carvings or silks. Accommodation.

DAY 4   Chiang Mai – Departure

 

Breakfast at Hotel. At the indicated time transfer to Chiangmai Airport to take the flight to your next destination.
