Built on a granite boulder precariously balanced on the edge of a rock mountain over 3000 feet (0.9 km) above the sea level, the pagoda is a complete mystery to visitors from home and abroad. The pagoda is estimated to weigh 19.5 tons (17,645 kg), and the granite boulder weighs 611.5 tons
