LUANG PRABANG

DAYS / 3 NIGHTS

DAY 1  Arrival  –  Luang  Prabang 

 

Transfer to chosen hotel. Leisurely lunch followed by a visit to Wat Xieng Thong the most famous and beautiful temple in the old town dating back to the 16th century. After visiting Wat Visoun and the Melon Stupa and Wat Aham then climb the 328 steps up to Mount Phousi for the sunset. On the way back visit the night market.

DAY 2   Luang  Phrabang – Pak Ou Caves

 

After breakfast, embark for a slow boat trip to Pak Ou Caves 32km up river and along the way make stop to visit the whisky village and discover the process villagers use to make Lau Lao ( potent rice whisky) then continue to the cave where a thousand budha figures are kept. After the visit, we will take a break for lunch at a typical local restaurant then back downstream to Luang Prabang. Short 12km trip by private car to Ban Xangkhong (ethnic weaving village & Mulberry paper village) and back to your hotel.

DAY 3   Luang  Prabang – Kuang Si Waterfalls

 

In the morning after breakfast start the day by driving through the Lao countryside by minivan to the Kuang Si waterfalls located some 29km away. On the way we make a stop at the Minority Hmong village and stop for pictures of the beautiful lush scenery along the way. On arrival at the falls we take a cooling swim in the fall’s turquoise waters and enjoy a picnic lunch. Back mid-afternoon to Luang Prabang.

DAY 4   Luang  Prabang – Departure

 

A very early morning start (5:45 am) by car to Ban Vat Sean to observe a long line of monks collecting alms’s ceremony then back for breakfast prior to check out from the hotel. The morning continues by visiting the former Royal Palace before transfering to Luang Prabang airport for your departure flight !!
