DAY 1 Arrival – Vientiane – City Tour
Upon your arrival at the airport our local tour guide will greet you and then transfer down town to embark on a full city tour to include: Wat Prakeo ( the original home of the Emerald Buddha), Wat Sisaket (the house of thousand Buddha images), Anousavari (Vientiane’s Arc de Triomphe), Pra That Luang Stupa (the stupa that kept the relics of Lord buddha. Then transfer to the hotel free at leisure and Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 2 Vientiane – Phonsavan
After breakfast, early visit the Morning Market and the Revolutionary Museum. Then transfer to airport for domestict flight to Xiengkhuang. On arrival transfer to the hotel free at leisure and overnight at Hotel.
DAY 3 Phonsavan – Plain of Jars – The Old Capital Muang Khoune
After breakfast, early start for Xiengkhuang tour to visit The Plain of Jars well know as one of Asia’s most unusual sights: hundreds of stone jars some weighing up to a tonne scattered over a large area of countryside. The jars are thought to be over 2,000 years old but their origins are still a mystery. Continue to the ancient capital Muang Khoun with a stop to visit minority villages along the way Overnight in Phonsavan.
DAY 4 Phonsavan – Luang Prabang
After breakfast, explore the local market before scenic drive to Luang Prabang along mountainous roads plenty of picture opportunities along the way. In the evening arrive in Luang Prabang for over night stay.
DAY 5 Luang Prabang – Kuang Si Waterfalls
After breakfast start the day by visiting Wat Xienthong the city’s most beautiful temple built in the 16th century. This is followed by visiting Wat Visoun, the Melon Stupa, then Wat Aham and drive for 30 Km to south along the Mekhong river to the Kuang Si waterfalls where you can take a refreshing swim in the clear waters. In the evening back to town for overnight stay.
DAY 6 Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves
Visit the Royal Palace in the morning then embark on slow boat trip to Pak Ou Caves which are located 32km up river and along the way stop to visit the whisky village and discover the process used by villagers to distill Lau Lao ( rice whisky) then continue on board to the caves. After visiting the caves cruise slowly back to Luang Prabang and pass on the way Ban Xangkhong (the weaving village & mulberry paper village). On arrival, climb up the sacred Mount Phousi 328 steps high located in the heart of the town, catch the sunset then back down to the central night market for diverse shoping ( silk weaving, carvings, cottons, silver etc..). Overnight in Luang Prabang.
DAY 7 Luang Prabang – Departure
The early morning start (5:45 am) by car to Ban Vat sean to watch a long line of monks collecting alms’s ceremony. Back to the hotel for breakfast then check out. Visit fresh market before transferring to airport for departure flight to next destination.
